Anthony Mebane

Listen to Obituary
On June 11th, heaven welcomed another angel into the kingdom. Anthony was born to Frances and Allen Mebane at the Westchester Medical Center.

He was educated in the Greenburgh Public School system at an early age until he transferred to the Valhalla School District. After graduation he attended the Westchester Business Institute where he received an Associates Degree in Business Management.

For over 29 years he was the Distribution Manager at the Gannet Group - Journal News Division. Devoted to his career he received numerous certificates and was recognized as a member of the Silver Club for over 25 years of service.

As many know, Anthony had a fond love of dogs, Gladys Knight and the New York Giants.

He was a kind spirited family man who would help anyone in anyway he could. He will be missed by many.

Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his beloved mother Frances; son Michael Anthony; siblings Timothy, Stephen (Janet), Kathleen DaSouza (Andrea) and Peter; Nieces Tiffany (Jason) and Alisa; Nephews John Jr. and Kyle; Great nephew and niece Jason and Mariah; Sister-in law Margaret; Uncle Charles, and a host of cousins and friends.

Predeceased family members include father Allen (2002); siblings Pearl (1957), John (1995), and William (1998).

Special friends Weldon and Delores Hinson and Sabarah Boney.

The Mebane Family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for all the prayers, visits, calls and gifts during our time of sorrow.

The Entire Staff of Lee's Funeral Home, LLC respects that the Mebane Family entrusted the care of their loved one to us, and that they value the level of service & attention our funeral home provides.
