Barbara Roberts

Barbara Mae Roberts, 82, gained her wings on December 12, 2018.

She was born January 9, 1936 in Scottsville,VA to the late Edward Hudson and Noralene (Smith) Hudson. Brothers Edward & Venable Hudson predeceased her.

Nannie, as she was known to her grandchildren, was a longtime resident of White Plains, NY. She moved to Douglasville, GA, after the passing of her husband Doyle Ray Roberts, to be a doting grandmother.

In 1954, Barbara graduated from White Plains High School. She held various positions at Westchester County Medical Center, and retired in 1997 from the Medical Records Department after 35 years of service.

Her interests included cooking, reading, puzzle books, watching religious programs & shopping. Most of all, she loved spending time with her great grand "dog" daughter Kleo, her daytime companion.

She is survived by her daughter Adrienne (Chris) Wood; grandchildren Kristina and Lauren Wood; sisters: Dorothy Hudson and Marie Chambers; sister in law, Arlene Blackwell; brother in law Richard Roberts; nephews: Darrin Hudson, Kamari Arzu, Ronnie & Ricky Blackwell; nieces: Alice (Larry) Powell, Debra (Luis) Chambers, Dionne & April Hudson, Genevieve, Giselle & Gabrielle Roberts and their mother Guylaine Charbonneau. Also, the sons she never had: David Carter, Sam Mabin, Khaleed Holt; and a "bonus" daughter Deirdre Armstrong.

She was fond of flowers & plants but loved TV Shopping Networks more. So, in lieu of flowers she wouldn't mind if you made a purchase from QVC on 6 easy payments.
