THROUGHOUT HER ENTIRE ILLNESS SHE NEVER COMPLAINED
Dee, I saw you slowly fading away, sometimes I tried to hide my tears. You never complained, just took everything in stride. Life is short and uncertain and sometimes your pain is needed to get you where you want to be. The road you had to travel may be straight and narrow with no detour to reach that heavenly light that shines forever. God came and touched you lightly and said, "Take my hand and come with me your work is done here on earth. You will have plenty of work to do when you get home". I will miss you Dee and will shed more tears thinking about you, but I know that you will be okay in God's hands.

Dee, as I sit here and reflect upon my memories of you I can't help but know you were the best sister and friend that anyone could ever ask for. Dee, you and I had a very special relationship There is no other like it. We were two peas in a pod. One was definitely not without the other. I began missing you as soon as the changes began to take place. I had to be strong and not show any emotions. It was terribly hard, but I did it for you. Although you were sick you still managed to try and make me happy by playing cards and smiling, and just letting me be there. You told mommy, pops, and me that you felt good just seeing us enjoying ourselves. That was definitely an unselfish act on your part. Dee, I admire your strength, your independence, your character, and most of all your loyalty to your family.
You definitely helped make me the person I am today, I will truly miss your physical presence here, but I will never forget MY HERO,
