Frank “Peanut” Jefferson earned his wings on April 21, 2026. He was born on June 4, 1949, in Valhalla, New York, to Helen Jefferson Childs and the late Frank Jefferson. He was educated in the White Plains, New York, and Shaker Heights, Ohio school districts, graduating from Shaker Heights High School in 1967.

After graduating high school, Frank married his high school sweetheart, Sandra Rooke. Together, they built a life and were blessed with two children, a daughter, Keva, and a son, Chad.

Frank attended Delaware State University before returning to White Plains to work at the New York Telephone Company. He began his professional career with General Foods and went on to build a successful career spanning over 30 years, including roles with Frito-Lay, Nabisco, and Pepperidge Farm, before retiring in 2004. While working full-time and advancing in his career, Frank returned to school, earning his bachelor’s degree from Mercy College and later an MBA from Webster University. He would say he was not going to let anyone tell him he was unqualified for anything in life simply because he lacked formal education.

Frank joined Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., a public service organization, in 1989 and was initiated through the Alpha Nu Chapter in Norwalk, Connecticut. He was honored with the Superior Service Award from the Omicron Xi Chapter in 2018 and was named Omega Man of the Year by the Omicron Xi Chapter in 1992 and the Alpha Nu Chapter in 2001.

An avid golfer and member of the Kansas City Swingers Golf Association, Frank always looked forward to weekly outings, annual tournaments, and the many friendships he formed along the way.

Much of Frank’s success in life can be attributed to the richness of his spiritual and family life. He was an active member of Concord Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, and Bethel Baptist Church in White Plains, New York. He loved his family unconditionally and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle.

Frank was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gert and Vernon; his paternal grandparents, Bertha and Harry; his great-aunt, Delia; his father, Frank, and his wife, Marjorie; and his stepfather, Clemons.

Frank leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 56 years, Sandra; his children, Keva and Chad (Sasha); his grandchildren, Corbin and Camron; his mother, Helen; his sisters, Daisy and Lisa; his brothers, Jeffery (Joy) and Eric; his aunt, Gloria; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
