Franklin McFadden was born on July 12th, 1949 to the union of Oliver McFadden Sr. and Eartha Lee McFadden, and was number eight out of 12 siblings.He attended the public school system in Tarrytown, N.Y. and was an outstanding football player. He received a scholarship to Virginia Union College and played football for them. He left college and was inducted into the Army in April of 1971. He served with the 101st Airborne division in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged in April of 1972.

He was married for a short period of time to Kathleen (nee Scott) McFadden, which ended in divorce in 1988.

He leaves to mourn his loss: daughters Devorah & Crystal; and sons Frankie Jr., Davon and Vincent.

His surviving siblings Rosanna (his oldest sister), Clarence (oldest brother), Oliver Jr., Helen, Patricia, Shirley and Albert will always cherish the love, closeness and memories from their childhood interactions.
