James Brown

James Thomas Brown, a resident of Monticello, New York, passed away peacefully at his home on February 6, 2020 at age 77. James was a Jehovah Witness. He was born in New Bern, North Carolina. His family moved to Westchester County, New York while he was young. Growing up he lived in Peekskill, Greenburgh, White Plains, Mount Vernon, and the Bronx. James graduated from Lakeland High School. He successfully learned how to perform truck tire road side repair, and opened up Jim Brown’s Tire.

He leaves behind his mother Minnie Brown, as well as sisters: Elonora and Doris; brothers: Peter and Paul; daughters: Teresa, Denise, Joy, Victoria, and Felicia; sons: John and Carl, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Wake & viewing will be from 10:00am-12:00pm Friday February 14th, 2020, immediately followed by Homegoing Service at 12:00 NOON, all at Lee's Funeral Home.

As he will be cremated, the family appreciates if you choose to send flowers, that sending small plants and/or vases are preferred. These may be delivered on either Thursday February 13th, 2020 by/before 6:00pm, or Fri. Feb. 14th, by/before 9:30am, latest, to Lee's Funeral Home.
