Josie White
She loved a beautiful, clean home with the aroma of good ole’ soul food. Josie loved to entertain, dance and have get-togethers with family/friends. She started giving “fall bashes” where she would have big cook outs with family and friends. Josie could cook her “behind off”. Lol Those around her felt the love! In a nutshell she loved her family/kids, loved the outdoors, dancing, beautiful flowers, loved to laugh, and absolutely loved cooking.
Josie was a beautiful, intelligent, fun loving, caring, comedic, and spunky woman. She would help everyone if she could. Josie loved family, her children didn’t want or need for anything. She took great care of her children.
Josie transitioned on January 30, 2024 at the far too young age of eighty-two (82) She now joins her siblings in heaven - sister Sue and brother Grover Jr.
She leaves to mourn her sisters: Ann and Carolyn; her son John (Wendy Ellerbee, fiancé ), daughter Annette; beautiful grand daughter Chloe’ Jerman; sweet niece Linda White; cousins: Albert McGhee, Maurice/Paulette McGhee, Kendall/Sandra McGhee; and extended family: Brenda Johnson, Tynisa, The Riolo’s, Andrew/Ann Weiss, Rod/Mina Randall, Sheila Lawrence, Kendra Fabin and Mitsie her wonderful caretaker.
She is now with GOD and her other lovely family/friends in Heaven. She will definitely be missed.

ATTENTION: As we continue to phase back into smaller capacity public visitations/services amid the continuing COVID & other various health concerns, we need your help in limiting/controlling the number of people, so please govern yourself accordingly for the health & safety of all. A Viewing/Wake/Visitation will be held on Monday Feb. 5th, 2024 from 11:00AM-12:00PM, followed by Funeral Service at 12:00 NOON, with limited seating due to COVID & other health considerations. There is a MAXIMUM CAPACITY of 80 people at funeral home at any time, And MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES. So you must come to the funeral home WITH YOUR OWN MASK ON ALREADY to attend the Wake, with your masks on inside at ALL times. At the very least you can get hand sanitizer & sign the register book (NOTE: please feel free to bring your own pen), and WALK-THRU to briefly greet the family. If not at capacity, you will be allowed in to have a seat; but if at capacity by the time you get here, you may be required to leave the premises after signing register book, so as not to be in violation nor cause a health hazard, so please govern yourself accordingly. Regardless of if you're able to enter/be seated, or not, social distancing MUST be maintained (please refrain from touching/hugging/handshaking, preferably just elbow bumping briefly if at all). If instructed, PLEASE KINDLY RESPECTFULLY leave the building & premises if at our capacity at any time. PLEASE KINDLY RESPECTFULLY follow & abide by the directions of the funeral home & cemetery staff/personnel at all times. Interment
White Plains Rural Cemetery
Burial immediately following funeral services. Please follow & abide by the rules of the cemetery and directions of the funeral home staff and/or cemetery personnel at all times. Please do NOT get out of your vehicles until after the casket is out of hearse, we've beckoned cars closer to gravesite & car has come to 2nd of two full stops, & the cemetery personnel have left the area, then when directed you may get out cars & approach graveside for service. Immediately after the graveside services are finished, ALL MUST LEAVE the cemetery immediately Before the cemetery will cover the grave (staying/watching grave be covered is NOT allowed).
