Leah Robertson passed away on Sunday, April 28th at White Plains Hospital.
She was born in Amelia County, Virginia on September 10, 1919 to Richard Woodson and Annie (Carter) Woodson. Leah accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Flower Hill Baptist Church in Amelia County, Virginia.

In the late 1940's she married Emerson Robertson of Richmond, Virginia and later moved to White Plains, NY. After moving to White Plains she reunited with God and became a member of Bethel Baptist Church in the 1950’s, where she was an active member of the Progressive Club and other activities of the church.

She later moved to New Rochelle, NY but continued to attend Bethel Baptist Church until her health failed her. She was later moved to H.H.W. nursing home in Valhalla, NY.

Leah was the oldest of nine children and became the matriarch of her family. She was a loving, caring and giving person and would speak her mind. Leah was and excellent cook and enjoyed being with her family and friends and enjoyed helping others especially the young family members.

Leah was employed by Dr. Earl and Mrs. Gertrude Brown of Larchmont, NY for over 40 years who adopted her as one of the family. She was very devoted to their son Joseph (Jay) and his wife Allison Brown of Hackettstown, NJ. In addition to being devoted to the Browns’ she was also devoted to the Medwick family - Kathy, Susan & Pat.

Leah leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, one brother and three brothers-in-law: Sally Brown and husband Harry Brown of Bronx, NY; Gladys Jones and her husband John A. Jones of Elmsford, NY; Brother, Richard Woodson of Richmond, VA.; James Robertson, brother-in-law of White Plains, NY: three God children Linda Robertson of Tarrytown, NY; Karlen J. Jones of Reseda, California and Sharon Grisby (Deceased): and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
