Olivinee Thomas was born on July 11, 1944 to Francis Ellis and Wilford Smith in St. James, Jamaica, West Indies. She made her Transition on the morning of November 26, 2021 after a lengthy and brave battle with
illness.

Olivinee, also known as Olive, attended the Marley School in Adelphi, Jamaica. She later migrated to the United States 1968 landing in Brooklyn, NY, where she married Donald Thomas on October 11, 1969. Olive and Donald were married for 34 years, until he preceded her in death in 2003. Upon their union they relocated to White Plains, NY where she worked for the Zevon family, developing a lifelong bond.

She had a long and dedicated career in the health care field. She worked for several health care Institutions, and also privately providing care for the loved ones of several families. She unselfishly Cared for sick family members, neighbors and friends. She was a caring and giving soul beloved by Everyone she encountered. She will be dearly missed. Olive loved to Garden, Knit, Crochet, and listen to the Gospel.

Olive is survived by her son Michael McKenzie, her son and daughter-in- law Bryon and Sondra Thomas; 4 Grandchildren: Brandon and Chandelle Thomas, Emanuel McKenzie, And Breondra Andrews; one Great Grandson Camron Denis; her brother Sparrow, and sisters Dorothy and Yvonne; as well as many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and dear friends.

ATTENTION: During the continuing COVID-19 crisis, as we slowly begin to phase back into small capacity public visitations/services, we need your help in limiting and controlling the number of people inside our funeral home, so please govern yourself accordingly for the health & safety of all. A Visitation/Wake will be held on Sat. 12/4 from 10:00-11:00AM with limited seating due to COVID restrictions, Funeral 11:00AM, with a MAXIMUM CAPACITY of 80 people at funeral home at any time. So you may come to the funeral home to attend, with your masks on. At the very least you can get hand sanitizer & sign the register book (NOTE: please feel free to bring your own pen), and WALK-THRU to briefly view her/greet the family & leave. If not at capacity, you will be allowed in to have a seat; but if at capacity by the time you get here, you may be required to leave the premises after signing register book, so as not to be in violation nor cause a health hazard, so please govern yourself accordingly. Regardless of if you're able to enter/be seated, or not, social distancing MUST be maintained (please refrain from touching/hugging/handshaking, preferably just elbow bumping briefly if at all). If instructed, PLEASE KINDLY RESPECTFULLY leave the building & premises if at our capacity. PLEASE KINDLY RESPECTFULLY follow & abide by the directions of the funeral home staff and/or cemetery personnel at all times. Interment

Burial immediately following funeral services. Please continue to wear a mask, and follow & abide by the rules of the cemetery and directions of the funeral home staff and/or cemetery personnel at all times. Please do NOT get out of your vehicles until after the cemetery personnel have left the area & we the funeral home Explicitly instruct you to get out of your cars for the graveside service. After the graveside services are finished, ALL MUST LEAVE the cemetery Before the cemetery will cover the grave, as they close early on Saturdays & we therefore must leave Immediately after the graveside service.
