Ollie Ashe Sr

We celebrate the life of Ollie Glen Ashe, Sr.

Ollie was born May 27, 1970 in Nyack, NY. The eldest child of Ollie T. Ashe and Catherine A. Ashe. Ollie grew up in White Plains, NY and as a child he was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in White Plains where he served on the usher board under the supervision of Betsy Mitchell. Ollie attended White Plains High School where he was a bright and shining star athletically and set records in track and field and football. Ollie was an all-star athlete who played baseball and semipro football post high school. He was a fierce competitor and a loyal friend to many. He enjoyed most sports and loved rooting for his favorite teams; the Yankees, the Knicks and the Dallas Cowboys. The love he had for his family was immeasurable, he enjoyed spending time with them and delighted in being a Grandpa.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving fiancée Claryce David; his children Danielle M. Ashe-Gumby, Glenda K. Ashe, Ollie G. Ashe, Jr., Caleb C. Reed-Ashe; his grandchildren Jordynn Ashe and Gianni Ashe; his parents; Ollie T. Ashe and Catherine A. Ashe; his sisters Catherine A. Ashe and Charlee Ashe; his nieces Melinda Ghyll, and Antoinette Ghyll; his nephew Patrick Ghyll, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Ollie was a kind and loving soul whose laughter and smile was infectious. To know him was to love him and we are blessed because he was part of our family. He will FOREVER be part of our lives. He will be greatly missed.

Burial & Graveside Service will be on Monday December 7th, 2020 at 2:00PM. You may either meet us at the cemetery on Monday at 2:00PM; or meet at Lee's Funeral Home Mon. at 1:30PM to follow us there in processional with family & clergy. Once at cemetery whether coming in processional with us or meeting us there, please do NOT get out of your vehicles until after the cemetery personnel have left the area & we the funeral home Explicitly instruct you to do so. Please follow & abide by the directions of the funeral home staff and/or cemetery personnel at all times. We Thank You in advance for following directions & NYS law, so as to make all go smoothly the day of the services, to eliminate further burden on the family, and to maintain the health & safety of All. Any questions, or if any clarity is needed, please call ahead to the funeral home and/or speak to us from a safe distance if present.

You MUST come to the funeral home and/or cemetery wearing a mask, & wear the mask at all times. If you know you have a coronovirus/COVID-19; are sick/experiencing symptoms of coronovirus/COVID-19; are immuno-compromised, have health/other conditions that make your body more susceptible to illness, are under an imposed or advised quarantine, and/or are visiting from a state that requires you to quarantine upon entering NY for a designated amount of time before going out in public, please do NOT attend any services. Please follow & abide by the directions of the funeral home & cemetery staff/personnel and NYS laws at ALL times, for the health & safety of All. Thank you!
