Dr. Oscar Nathaniel Graves aka "Duke" departed this life on June 26, 2014.

Born July, 18 1921 in the family home in Brooklyn, NY, to Moses & Louise Graves, he was the youngest of seven children.

A graduate of Boy's High in Brooklyn, Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, and Howard Medical School in Washington, D.C. He began his internship in 1949 at Harlem Hospital in internal medicine and cardiology, which was interrupted by service in the Korean War(1952-54) as a General Medical Officer, discharged at the rank of Lieutenant.

Upon return to Harlem Hospital he obtained board certification in anesthesiology and was part of the Anesthesiology Department until he retired (1955-86). Additionally, he had a private practice in family medicine and was on staff at St. Agnes Hospital, in the Greenburgh/White Plains area (1954-93).

Dr. Graves was a founding member of the Westchester Clubmen and its charitable branch the Foundation of Westchester Clubmen. He was also a member of the Guardsmen's Organization and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. (1942 Beta Chapter).

He is predeceased by two spouses - Margaret, and Yvonne (member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.). He is survived by four children, three daughters-in-law, eight grandchildren & one great-grandson. He is also survived by his sister and many nieces, nephews & cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday July 19th 2014 at 10:30am at Grace Episcopal Church, 33 Church Street, White Plains, NY 10601.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to the Foundation of the Westchester Clubmen, Inc., c/o 35 Old Tarrytown Rd., White Plains, NY 10603.
