Our beloved Robert Franklin Fitch III, "Bob", was born September 27,1950 at White Plains Hospital where sadly he passed away on May 12, 2026. He is predeceased by his parents Nancy Elizabeth Harvey and Robert Franklin Fitch II. Among his survivors are his Sister Nancy Elizabeth of Virginia and brother Kevin David "Raphael" Fitch of Montana; also nephew Saliym Surya Fitch and mother Carol (Maliake) Word Robinson of Wappinger Falls.
On August 22, 1991, Bob and Roslyn White married in the White Plains Court Chambers of Judye Harold Wood. Roslyn survives him as does daughter Ayena Adams and her fiancé Lionel Murray of Loganville, GA and granddaughter Arianna Mselle and her father Luringe of White Plains. All of Bob's family, friends, and members of his Randstad USA team feel sorely, his sudden loss, and also that of his dear cousin Jackie one day later. We admire his righteous battle to stay here with us, and his cousin’s courage.
Bob is cousin to many in his extended maternal family - Some elderly, others newly born; some residing in Las Vegas, many in New York City and Westchester, and others in Cities throughout the southeast. Branches of the Dogan and Edwards families from Spartanburg, SC came together in 2019 for his mother’s 100th birthday celebration. We all were renewed by our shared ancestry, heritage, and legacy with the White Plains family that included the brightness of their cousin Bob.
Bob is a 1973 graduate of now storied Quinnipiac University, majoring in Mathematics. Initially working in the banking industry to become an actuary, he eventually took a new career direction as a computer analyst/consultant and lecturer and eventually worked as a problem-solver and as an IT on the “Help Desk” at Randstad USA. Working from home, he provided technical and non-technical support for PC and desktop users domestically and globally. This was a job he absolutely loved and in which he excelled. He was actually on the job when he was stricken.
Bob is known for his kindness, patience, empathy, warm spirit, and sense of humor. These qualities served him well at work and at home. Toward the end of her long life, Bob was the chief family caregiver and housemate of our mother. His loving care, his standing by her side always (literally and figuratively), helped her live to be 103 years of age. She was proud of that shared achievement, and grateful to him and Lisa, her home-aide, for their devotion and that of other members of her family and friends.
So, to Robert we say: yes, these last weeks we were looking for a miracle. God never failed us - the miracle was always in front of us - it was YOU, a true mensch (a person of honor) in our lives. Go with God, Robert.
With love and gratitude,
Your Family & Friends
