Senora Ann Early

Senora Ann Early was born on October 28, 1940 to the late Rev. Simon and Lucy Daye Turner in White Plains, NY. She departed this life on August 6, 2013.

At an early age, Ann joined Bethel Baptist Church where her father served as an Associate Pastor and her mother was a faithful member. Ann grew up within the White Plains Public School System and graduated from White Plains High School in 1959.

Ann was employed with the County of Westchester for thirty (30) years where she worked at the Westchester County Medical Center (Grasslands Hospital) and Ruth Taylor Institute as a licensed practical nurse and officially retired in 2002. In addition, she also was employed as a private nurse/caretaker.
It was in White Plains where Ann chose to settle and raise a family. Ann was courted by and married the late Wallace Bernard Early in 1961 and for 37 years raised a family that included two daughters and two sons.
Very civic minded, Ann was involved in her community where she served as a block captain for many years with the Parkway Homes Civic Association, chaired various fundraisers to assist the neighborhood students with their post high school endeavors and just recently accepted to serve as an Election Inspector during the upcoming election cycle with the Westchester County Board of Elections. She was also a member of the local chapter of the Red Hat Society.

With an unparalleled spiritual commitment, Ann remained a faithful servant to Bethel Baptist Church. She was a regular attendee for Sunday worship service, Bible Study, and a member of the Missionary Ministry.
Ann lived her life on her own terms with convictions of conscience and consideration of others. She worked hard and enjoyed life to the fullest. Whether it was making the yearly pilgrimage to Louisville, KY in the month of May for the Kentucky Derby, visiting her cousins in Washington, DC, or North Carolina (Oxford/Creedmoor/Raleigh/Durham) or just having her passport stamped visiting countries around the globe, Ann believed in the closeness of family and friends which is a testament to the legacy she has left behind.

Ann leaves to cherish her loving memory: her daughters, Senora Lynne Higgs (Alan) of White Plains, NY; and Dana Early-Jeune (Evens) of Highland Mills, NY; her sons, Anthony Sterling Montague and André Goodman Early of New York, NY; five grandchildren, Myles D. and Asya D. Jeune, Madison P. and Khori N. Higgs, Christina T. Montague, and a host of relatives and friends.
