Obituary for Vivien Eva Lewis Penalver

Vivien Eva Lewis Penalver passed away Tuesday evening, February 26th, 2013 at the White Plains Center for Nursing Care in White Plains, N.Y. at the age of 99.
She was born February 2, 1914 in Washington, D.C. and raised in Tarrytown, N.Y., the second of three children of James N., Sr., and Rebecca Galliard Lewis.
She worked for many years as a clerk in the Family Courts division of Westchester County. She retired from that position in 1977.
For many years, she was organist and choir master at the Foster Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church in Tarrytown, N.Y.
She was the widow of Mr. Lynwood Penalver, and is survived by her nephew, James L. Collymore who lives in central New Jersey.
Wake services will be held Monday, March 4th from 11am-12pm, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 12 Noon, all at Foster Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church at 90 Wildey St., Tarrytown, NY 10591. Burial to follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY.
