William Grayson

William (Bill) Gerald Grayson entered into eternal rest on January 17, 2013 in Marietta, Ga. He was born in New York City to the late Anna and William Grayson on February 15,1927. Bill was a graduate of Saunders High School and attended Monroe College. He worked at Phelps Dodge Co., then went on to work for IBM in Systems Management retiring after 23 years. Bill was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and The Old Guard. He was a sports enthusiast who loved playing golf. Bill is survived by his devoted son Warren, his grandsons Wesley and Bradley, three sisters Carolyn Upshaw, Muriel Fuller and Corinne Thomas, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Lucille. Visitation and wake will be on Thursday, January 24th from 7 to 9 PM at Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at the church on Friday, January 25th at 12:00 noon. If desired, contributions in his name may be made to the scholarship fund started/named for his wife, Lucille Grayson.
