Wilson Gadson
Mr. Gadson was born on July 2, 1928 in Yemassee, South Carolina to William and Julia Gadson.
After migrating to White Plains, NY in his 20's, Mr. Gadson worked as a Cook at White Plains Hospital for 40 years, where he was loved by all who knew him.
He was an active member of the Elks, I.B.P.O.E. of W. in White Plains. He had also been a member of the First Seventh Day Adventist Church of White Plains.
An avid gardener, he also liked to travel. A kind, humble gentleman, he was loved by all.
He was predeceased by brothers Frank, Abraham, William, & Irving, and sister Edith.
He leaves to cherish his memory - nieces: Dorothy Gadson-James, Robin Gadson, Dr. Sandra Gadson; nephew Robert Gadson; cousins: Nathan and Theresa Gadson; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

You MUST come to the church & cemetery wearing a mask, & wear a mask inside the church, and social distance as much as possible at all times. A Visitation/Viewing/Wake will be held on Thurs. 8/5 from 10:00-11:00AM, immediately followed by ELKS Service from 11:00-11:30AM, with Funeral Service to immediately follow at 11:30AM, all at the Memorial United Methodist Church, with a maximum capacity of 100 people at church. So you may come to the church Thurs. to attend, with your masks on. At the very least you can get hand sanitizer & sign the register book (NOTE: please feel free to bring your own pen). If not at capacity, you will be allowed in to have a seat; but if at capacity by the time you get there, you may be required to leave the premises after signing register book, so as not to be in violation nor cause a health hazard, so please govern yourself accordingly. Regardless of if you're able to enter/be seated, or not, social distancing MUST be maintained as the church requires (please refrain from touching/hugging/handshaking, preferably just elbow bumping briefly if at all). If instructed, PLEASE KINDLY RESPECTFULLY leave the church & premises if it is at their restricted capacity. PLEASE KINDLY RESPECTFULLY follow & abide by the directions of the funeral home staff and/or church or cemetery personnel at all times. White Plains Rural Cemetery
Please do NOT get out of your vehicles until after the cemetery personnel have left the area & we the funeral home Explicitly instruct you to get out of your cars for the graveside service. After the graveside services are finished, ALL MUST LEAVE the cemetery Before the cemetery will cover the grave, this cemetery does NOT allow anyone to witness the covering of the grave.
