Dedicated wife, Loving mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother Diane Betty Stewart of White Plains, NY passed into God's hands from a lengthy illness. Tuesday December 9th, 2014. Diane was 66 years old. Diane was born on July 20th,1948. Diane passed December 9th, at Westchester Medical Center. Diane was one of seven children of the late Lizzie Mae Lee and Marshall Lee.
Diane worked at the Bank of New York for 17 years. But was best known for her career in the special education field. Diane worked for 22 years as a Special Education Teacher Assistant at B.O.C.E.S in Valhalla, New York. She enjoyed using her creativity within the arts. Diane at her best had a variety of interest and hobbies.
Diane was hard working and always was assertive with her thoughts and loved to share her insights and wisdom. Her knowledgeable insight left long lasting impacts on her loved ones. Diane was full of savvy wisdom and determination. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Diane greatly enjoyed one on one interactions with family and friends. Her extensive amount of words of wisdom always had good intentions. Diane was a strong-willed, independent, and caring woman, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister.
Diane was predeceased by her husband Carlton Alexander Stewart. Diane leaves behind her two loving children Dana Francesca Lee and Ethan Alexander Stewart, six grand children Raheem Bilal,Tariq Bilal, Sadiyah Diane Bilal, Amari Bilal, Carlton Stewart, & Anthony Atkins, as well as two great grandchildren Anisa Bilal and Mellissa Hairston. Diane is also survived by her four sisters and in-laws; Carol E. Vaughn & David Vaughn, Marsha Mason, Pamela Lee Jones & Jim Jones, Barbara Walker and two brothers; Frederick R. Lee & Traci Lee, and Peter Lee & Carmen Lee. Diane also leaves behind a host of, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
